Girl’s Night – An Engagement Party

One of my friends & co-workers, Em, is getting married in less than a month! The girls at work wanted to throw a little dinner/engagement party for her at our (now monthly) dinner parties.
I hosted the first one – and successfully made homemade pizzas, salad & wine.
Shelagh offered to host the second one. She has such a cute apartment! Oh the perks of living without a man in the house (you know I love you Kyle, but man do we own a lot of soccer scarves, Butler posters & black furniture…).
We had a perfect fall-themed dinner with a roasted chicken, acorn squash, salad with pear & pecans, and finished with apple pie & a caramel apple. The table setting was perfect – and had the plates from West Elm I’ve been dying to get. It took us a little while to realize the table was only set for 3 even though there were 4 of us…but it was an easy fix 🙂
The evening in photos (even though I’m horrible and didn’t take a group shot of us…got too caught up in the conversation!):
Such a perfect fall themed table setting, despite only being set for 3

This may show up in my apartment…

My first taste of Acorn Squash — definitely buying some!

Warmed up apple pie

And of course, a nice glass of wine

Next dinner night will be at Em’s. Stay posted for the next dinner adventures (I’m sure there will not be lingerie at this one…)
