5 minutes

With August officially here, I’m reminded how quickly life goes by. It feels like yesterday it was -55 degrees windchill in Chicago, and now I’m here, in Pennsylvania, in the thick of summer. The year is over half way done, and I can’t help but think back on what I’ve accomplished & yet to accomplish. I’ve realized with how busy I can get (& easily stressed I get) that there are so many quick things I can & should do to put me back on track & in a good space…and hopefully make someone else happy in the process :). And the best part? It only takes a couple minutes!

It takes just 5 minutes…

  • To write a thank you…(favorites here, here, & here – and because I took Spanish)
  • To take your vitamins…
  • To phone a friend…(or send a text!)
  • To buy some flowers to brighten up your space…
  • To light a candle to relax your mind…
  • To put on lip gloss (to feel even prettier)…
  • To find quiet time to meditate (this is a good app) & pray…
  • Watch a funny YouTube video (here, here, & here are always a good start)
  • Drink a latte (of course…)
  • Read a blog post (mine…or I like this, this, & this)
  • Look through old photos…
