December Goals & November Recap

December is one of my favorite months – it’s not TOO cold yet, there’s usually the first real snow fall, everything related to Christmas, and the start of Advent. This month, I’m trying to not “overdo” it and simply enjoy the holidays. My goals this month are more like bucket list items, with a few real goals thrown in just to keep me honest.

November Recap:

I only did okay on my November Goals…I’m still reading Jodi Picoult’s “Leaving Time” and am about a third of the way into it. I did successfully host my first Thanksgiving Dinner and ordered our Christmas cards (they’re all stamped and ready to go – blog post coming soon)!!!

I even bought all my Christmas gifts, except for a few odds & ends, but everyone in my family at least is accounted for (I hope the gift guides helped some you out there)!

On the negative, I’m still working out – but did make progress & my new Fitbit  along with Pure Barre is at least providing me with a great routine that I plan to continue into December.

As for reconnecting…I did “ok” on this – made some strides in some friendships, and was totally lacking in others. Work in progress I say!

And finally, our budget is looking good. We have some big plans ahead for 2015 and it’s more important than ever that I finally stick to some sort of budget (Kyle’s always tried, but yet Nordstrom seems to always call my name…)

On to December: This December my goals are to:

1. Finish 2 books (finish Leaving Time & start & finsih The Silkworm -which I snagged on Black Friday!)

2. Stay Active! With the weather getting colder, and the days getting darker earlier, I just want to keep to my goal of 10,000 steps & Pure Barre 4X a week! Even if all I want to do is nap.

3. HYDRATE – who knew that I was so bad at hydrating? With the winter weather, my skin is feeling drier and all I want to do is drink more water. Plus, I love my water bottle and I think you will too.

4. Enjoy the family time – I’m so thankful my dad can visit over his work trip this week, and I get to see ALL my family this Christmas. I want to unplug, and enjoy the family time!

5.  Continue to work on my blog – If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been making some changes to the blog which I hope to continue so I can start off 2015 with the site I want. I’m open to feedback so continue to share it 🙂

What are your goals this December?
