First Fridays in Phoenixville

We are LOVING our new town! Our house is walking distance to a cute downtown area (it should only take 15 minutes, but it’s taking me more like 20-25 depending on how mobile I’m feeling…). A couple weeks ago, we decided to go out for dinner after work to enjoy the weather and eat outside. Little did we know, Phoenixville celebrates First Fridays so the streets were blocked off with vendors, entertainment, and tons of art and snacks to be enjoyed at the various stores on the main drag. If you’re not familiar with First Fridays, this Wikipedia article describes it pretty well, but basically it’s a chance for a town to celebrate artwork & culture on the first Friday of every month (usually in the summer). Usually there is free wine, so I’m usually game to go whenever!

The only downfall was that we were not planning on how busy all the restaurants would be! We ended up going to our second choice, PJ Ryans, which ended up tasting much better than I thought it would!! Kyle got a fancy burger, and I got a California chicken sandwich. We HAD to get dessert to share since warm apple crisp was on the menu, & it is a favorite of ours.

We’re hoping to continue taking advantage of how close we live to downtown and try many of the restaurants this summer!!
