Happy 4th from Philadelphia!

Very American day for us with the USA soccer win later that day!

There is nothing better than celebrating the 4th of July in America’s birthplace, Philadelphia. Kyle & I decided to take advantage of our day off and head downtown to join in all the fanfare taking place in Old City. There is so much to do & so much to learn…all for free! If you haven’t celebrated a 4th of July in Philadelphia before, you definitely should add it to your bucket list. We went to Christ Church, Independence Hall, National Constitution Center park, and drove by Betsy Ross’ house in just a couple hours. There were re-enactors, food trucks, pogo stick competitions (not really sure how that all fit in…), and of course tons of historical alleys to roam through.

The Visitor’s Center sure is pretty in the summer
Arts & Crafts – 1770’s style
I’m assuming the “1752” plaque means this house was built before the Revolution…
In remembrance of those who fought in the Revolutionary War
Independence Hall – where the Declaration of Independence was signed
Oh you know, just a casual stroll through the park
This kid from Russia currently holds the World Record for highest pogo jump – 10’1″…cause that’s a thing
