As the blog name suggests, I’m all about the coffee. All day. Every day. I’m on a quest to find the best coffee shops in all the cities I visit. On our recent trip to Washington D.C., we stopped by Bourbon Coffee, located close to our hotel in Foggy Bottom. Out of all the coffee shops a person can visit in D.C., I’m really excited I found Bourbon Coffee. Originally, Bourbon Coffee started in Rwanda in 2007. According to the website, “the goal was to bring profits back to the hands of the coffee farmers and their families in Rwanda.”
The Foggy Bottom location is the first Bourbon Coffee in the US. All the coffee & decor is from Rwanda, giving it a fun vibe in the bustling city.
I got a plain latte (which was delicious), but they had tons of fun options like Caramel Indulgence (which our friend got) or a Honey Cinnamon Latte. I like to keep the added sugar low, but I will say the Caramel Indulgence could be worth the splurge in calories!!
Next time you’re in Foggy Bottom, stop by Bourbon Cafe for a good latte, pretty art, & learn more about their story!
