Back Home Again in Indiana

What a crazy few weeks it’s been! I’ve been quiet on the blog front as we packed up our home in Pennsylvania and made the trip out to Indiana. As you can see with the number of boxes – stressful is an understatement! Thankfully we had movers (kudos to people who move out of state WITHOUT them!) which made the process go very smoothly.

Since today marks my 27th birthday, I wanted to start back fresh on a few things, namely getting back into blogging!!

I didn’t even think about how difficult it would be to move with a baby, and how stressful these few weeks would be. Kyle & I are pros at moving, considering we’ve moved 5 times in the past 5 years, and can easily live out of a suitcase for a week or two or more. Who knew how much stuff we’d have to set aside to pack in the car for Aidan! We literally packed his entire dresser/closet and toys into the car to take to Indiana. All the movers took was the furniture.

After two days of driving (shout out to my dad for flying one way to Philly to help us drive the two cars back…), and a few nights in a hotel we finally made it to my parents’ house.

By Wednesday of that week, we closed on the house & the movers came on Friday! It took us a few days, but we eventually unpacked ALL those boxes! We love our new home in Noblesville – perfect for us to grow into, host friends & family, allow Aidan a chance to make new friends…there’s nothing like returning ‘home’.

We were of course busy settling back into the new routine, filling up those empty rooms (although several are still empty…) and reacquainting ourselves with our favorite hot spots (*cough cough* McAlister’s iced tea….).

Here are a few photos of our new life in Indiana:

Standing in our Living Room – all those cords will need to be babyproofed soon!
Swinging is our favorite! Love the park in our neighborhood!

I should be back to a regular blogging schedule now!! Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things, and thanks for stopping by!

  • Welcome Home! Glad you had time to post the pictures. And I agree with the McAlister’s tea! I used to drink it 1/2 and 1/2, and now I’m more of an “unsweet” with a “hit” of sweet at the end. Then I stir it in. Keep posting as you have time, as we LOVE seeing the pics of your family and that growing Baby Boy! 🙂
