Our new house has an amazing upstairs loft area, perfect for storing all of Aidan’s toys out of sight from visitors, but close to our bedrooms when we get ready in the morning. It also leaves our basement open to become a shared adult/kid space vs. solely dedicated to little kid toys.
I bought Aidan a teepee from Land of Nod, and it’s the cutest thing ever. Aidan is only 9 months old, but he still loves sitting in it and playing peek-a-boo with the flaps. It’s the true focal point of the space, but we are still left with empty walls and a ton of unused floor space. I’m on a mission to make this loft fun yet functional, and a great place for Aidan to develop: different textures, colors, art pieces, books, and everything in between to develop his fine & gross motor skills.
I love the idea of adding an activity table (with built in coloring paper!) and train set for him to play and be creative! Plus, right now there is a sale at Land of Nod for 15% off playhouses/teepees!! I HIGHLY recommend getting one!
