July 4th Hosting Ideas

july4

I love the 4th of July. It doesn’t hurt that you get a three day weekend, and typically spend it relaxing by the pool, at BBQs, and spending time with friends & family. In the past, I haven’t really decorated much or done anything too crazy, but this year we are headed up to Michigan to spend it with Kyle’s parents, sister & brother-in-law and their 3 kids. There’s something about celebrating the holiday with little kids that really inspires me to go all out and make fun treats for them to remember.

This year, I think I’m going to make the 4 above snacks (or at least variations of these!) for everyone to enjoy!!

Clockwise:

Fruit Kabobs by The Baby Bump Diaries – because you need at least SOMETHING healthy! And I tried making watermelon stars this past weekend with my star cookie cutter, and they turned out fantastic!!!

Red, white & blue brownie pizza by Jo Cooks – a fun take on the traditional sugar cookie pizza, I think I’ll like the brownie version better

Dipped Oreos by Crafty Recipes

4th of July Fruity Ice Drinks by Mom.Me – there is a grown up version & a kid’s version (just use flavored sparkling water!) to make it great for everyone.hosting
